Every few years I find myself hankering to write a book, but whenever I start seriously thinking about the idea I realize how much work it would be and get scared off.
The next best thing to writing a book of my own, though, is reviewing one by somebody else. That way I get to be all opinionated and critical of the things I don't like, but without having to actually put any real work into it myself :-)
I recently did some technical reviewing for XNA Unleashed by Chad Carter. This is now on its way to the printers, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the final thing turned out. It has a foreword by Tom Miller, which I have yet to read even though he sits just down the hall from me!
So, you should all go buy a copy. I won't get any money from it, but I presume Chad will, and he deserves it. It's a good book.
